Bill Stewart, muy bien!. Pero en realidad, el tremendamente "underrated" aquí es el gran Dave Kikoski, un pianista superior, GRAN "comping". Busquenlo con Roy Haines con quien tocó bastante. Kikoski siempre suena moderno, impecable, con gran técnica y emociòn.

Search Amazon for the "Something Cool" full two vinyls into one CD. June recorded in 1954 a lot of great, great songs in mono, with a big band and orchestra arranged and conducted by great Pete Rugolo. Later on, in 1960, when stereo was available, they did the whole album again, some personnel changed, same singer, same arranger, basically same band. It's great to have it all in one CD! June had that perfect target type of voice. Her beautiful, always in tune voice delivered each note with crystal-clear precision; her phrasing and articulation, just great. Above it all, you get Rugolo's novel, modern arrangements. Don't miss it!
